The SEAMK Y-Zone student entrepreneurship concept is designed for students who want to develop, research, and plan their own business during their studies and create a functioning company after graduation. Y-Zone is not intended for students who simply want to quickly start a business to cover study and living expenses.
In SEAMK Y-Zone, you can develop, research, and plan your own business individually, but you will gain the greatest benefit if you design the concept as part of a group of 3–5 people. In Finland, funders and investors are generally more interested in financing ventures with multiple entrepreneurs rather than solo entrepreneurs.
Additionally, it is extremely important that before you begin developing, researching, and planning your own business, you familiarize by yourself with Finnish legislation, taxation practices, and business culture in generally. You should also investigate in generally the customer profile, products and services, that could succeed in the market you are aiming to.
